Music and worship were blended magnificently at the dedication of Solomon's Temple. II Chronicles 5:12-14 tells us that is was the "duty of the instrumentalist and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving of the Lord." It also tells us that when the song was raised, the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister; for the glory of the Lord filled the house.
Music and singing are powerful tools to help us be more sensitive to the presence of the Lord. There are many avenues available in our church which enable us to better enter into Spirit-led praise and worship. Our choirs, musical dramas, small groups, soloists and instrumentalists all add to our church family's worship experience.
